In a trial, 20 middle-aged men were asked to sit with their clothes on in a magnetic chair. Pulses were targeted at their grain and it stimulated and strengthened the muscles connect to their penis. Men, who had moderate to severe erectile dysfunction at the start, had to take therapy for 30 minutes twice a week for eight weeks.
By the end of the study, one participant was fully cured and 14 ended with mild to moderate dysfunction.
New Delhi: Erectile dysfunction is a condition characterised by an inability to achieve and maintain erections. Several times, this condition is attributed to problems like stress, high cholesterol, diabetes and poor blood circulation. This condition can take a toll on mental health of men and adversely affect intimate life as well. But according to scientists, magnets could be effective in preventing these chronic episodes of failure in the bedroom. Turns out, electromagnetic waves can help men dealing with ED.
How do magnets treat erectile dysfunction?
In a trial, 20 middle-aged men were asked to sit with their clothes on in a magnetic chair. Pulses were targeted at their grain and it stimulated and strengthened the muscles connect to their penis. Men, who had moderate to severe erectile dysfunction at the start, had to take therapy for 30 minutes twice a week for eight weeks. By the end of the study, one participant was fully cured and 14 ended with mild to moderate dysfunction.
Experts leading the Argentine study explained this concept and said that the muscles strengthening could be a long-term solution for ED, whereas, pills like Viagra only work for one night. In most patients of ED, the results are lasting and it can also be difficult to establish. Stronger pelvic floor muscles can further help increase blood pressure to the penis and allow it to be there for some time. Overtime, men living with ED can regain control of this and become more aware of muscles.
Researchers also noted that the chair helps women strengthen their pelvic floor after childbirth. It can also help people deal with incontinence better. Researchers said that this can also benefit men after undergoing prostate surgery.
