Before and after: Hereford mum’s Slimming World journey

Before and after: Hereford mum’s Slimming World journey

With a weight loss of six stone and 12 pounds, former Hereford Slimming World member Sarah Wynter has now become a Slimming World consultant in Hampton Dene.

By 2021, Ms Wynter had lost five stone, and in the last three years, she has shed another two stone and 12 pounds.

Her own Slimming World group meets on Thursday evenings at Hampton Dene United Reformed Church.

In 2022 she was named “Miss Slinky”  by Slimming World, recognising her achievement.

She said: “Since winning the Miss Slinky title I have loved being a Slimming World ambassador and I’ve used this platform to help so many people and give them hope that they can lose weight.”

A farmer’s wife and mum of teenagers, her weight loss journey has inspired her to want to share Slimming World with more local people.

Jo Diggle, who was Ms Wynter’s Slimming World consultant during her weight loss journey, said: “While working as a nurse, Sarah Wynter split her PPE hazmat suit as she bent over, and in that moment she realised that she didn’t need to be over 17 stone and a size 22 anymore. She found herself again after years of unhappiness.

“During 2022 she went on to lose two more stone in weight, hitting her first target with an opportunity to share her transformation story in Slimming World magazine, even gracing the front!

“The head office team were looking for the national Miss Slinky winner, the member from across the whole company who could inspire hundreds if not thousands of slimmers as a Slimming World ambassador. And they chose Sarah.

“She has been given amazing opportunities this year in her role; she lobbied MPs at the Houses of Parliament at the Cross Party Group on Obesity, fronted a Zoom meeting for over 1,000 Slimming World consultants, done radio interviews and has met Slimming World’s founder.”
